Community Transit invites you to start the year off right with a new ride. Meet your financial, health, and environmental goals by riding transit or sharing a ride in a carpool or Vanpool. From Jan. 5 to Feb. 6, get rewarded for choosing a better way to get around.

Most trips taken

The person with the highest number of trips using transit, Vanpool, or carpool.

Most miles traveled

The person who traveled the most miles on transit, Vanpool, or carpool that start or end in Snohomish County.

One lucky winner

Selected at random from all eligible entries each week.

Weekly prizes

Each week, three winners will be rewarded for that week’s participation with a $50 gift card, according to the respective categories below (each category applies to that specific week and is not cumulative beyond the week).

What types of trips count?

Any travel trips where you shared the ride! Transit, including buses or paratransit, Vanpool, carpool, or Zip Shuttle.

Contest rules, Terms & Conditions

Contest Rules:

  • Prize limitations: Participants can win only one prize per challenge.
  • Prize allocation: In the event of a tie, winners will be chosen by random drawing.
  • Trip logging: Participants must accurately log all trips. False or duplicate entries may result in disqualification.
  • Eligibility verification: Proof of age, Snohomish County residency, employment, or school enrollment maybe required.
  • DART Paratransit and Zip Shuttle: These trips count as bus trips when logged.
  • Organizers’ right to disqualify: Community Transit reserves the right to disqualify participants for rule violations or fraudulent behavior.

This New Year New Ride Challenge is sponsored by Community Transit, 2312 W. Casino Road, Everett, WA 98204.Open to legal residents of Washington State, age 18 or older at the time of entry, who reside, work, or attend school in Snohomish County. Employees, board members, and immediate family members of Community Transit are not eligible. “Immediate family” includes spouse, parents, siblings, and children living in the same household. Complete the New Year New Ride Challenge at RideshareOnline.com between 12:00 a.m. PT on January 5, 2026, and 11:59 p.m. PT on February 6, 2026 to be entered into the prize drawing. Alternate method of entry: Mail your name, mailing address, email and phone number to: Community Transit – New Year New Ride Challenge, 2312 W. Casino Road, Everett, WA 98204. Mailed entries must be postmarked by February 13, 2026, and received by February 20, 2026. Limit one entry per person, regardless of method. One (1) winner will receive a $250 Visa gift card. Approximate Retail Value (ARV): $250. Twelve (12) winners will receive a $50 Visa gift card. Approximate Retail Value (ARV): $50. One (1) winning team with at least 3 people and up to 6 people will receive one $100 Visa gift card per team member. Approximate Retail Value (ARV): $600.  No substitution, exchange, or cash equivalent will be made except at the sponsor’s sole discretion. Sponsor may substitute a prize of equal or greater value if the advertised prize is unavailable. Odds depend on the total number of eligible entries received. The winner will be selected in a random drawing within 30 business days after the entry period ends. The potential winner will be notified by phone and/or email. If the potential winner cannot be contacted within 14 days, or is found ineligible, an alternate winner may be selected. All federal, state, and local taxes on the prize are the sole responsibility of the winner. If required by law, the sponsor will issue an IRS Form 1099 to the winner.

By accepting the prize, the winner grants Community Transit permission to use their name, likeness, and city of residence for promotional purposes without additional compensation, except where prohibited by law. Sponsor reserves the right to cancel, suspend, or modify the promotion if fraud, technical failures, or any other factor beyond the sponsor’s reasonable control impairs the integrity of the contest.
